# Modify Seating Plan

## 1. How to modify an existing seating plan template

After [creating your very own unique seating plan,](https://help.ticketsource.com/en/article/create-a-seating-plan-17iojnd/) you are able to modify it to suit a different ​event, or type of tickets.

||| Modifying a seating plan template using this method will have no impact on any live event listing.

1. Go to **Events** and Select **Modify Seating Plan.**
2. Select the relevant seating plan from the drop-down list and click **Modify.**
3. You can change an existing seating area by selecting **Modify** next to the appropriate section, or you can choose to delete/copy/add new sections.
4. Make the necessary changes to your seating plan.
5. Click **save changes** to apply any modifications.

## 2. How to modify a seating plan for a current event

||| You cannot delete seats/rows where seats have already been booked. Any amendments to this method will only apply to the specific event and not to the Seating Plan Template. If you have multiple events, you will need to follow the above process for each event.

1. Go to **Events** and select **Modify Event** and select an event from the drop-down list.
2. In the **Ticket Allocation** column, hover and click the **pencil icon** to modify.
3. In the table, click **t**he Pencil Icon next to the section you want to change or double click the section on the layout.
4. Make the necessary changes to your seating plan.
5. Click **save changes** to apply any modifications.
